A heron pauses on her way to warmer waters on a winter evening. She is larger than the landscape, both part of it, inextricably linked, yet separate, as she is not tied to the land she traverses.
Created with tracing paper and pencil, adhered to a background of a marshy scene from a photo I took on a run in North Chico.
