Lachesis is named for the second of the Greek Fates, the one who determines the length of every human life. I also wanted to convey the confidence and self-assuredness that comes with being squarely in the middle of one's life... This is what I imagine life is like at 40. 40+year-olds, tell me this is so!
You can see her with her sisters in this triptych of three 24x36 acrylic paintings with paper embellishments, each representing a part of every human's story.
I use Golden Acrylics for their quality not only in paint handling but also for their archival properties. The Space Cowgirl is created using tracing paper and pencil and applied with an acrylic medium.
Worldwide shipping is free and the painting will be professionally packaged.
SPACE COWGIRLS // This series is an exploration into themes of nostalgia, loss, and preservation through anachronistic dreamscapes. The series is set in the southwest because I fell in love with that part of the US after taking a trip into southern Utah and learning that my great grandma, who lived on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, also loved to paint those landscapes.
